First night out

Great day!!  It was about a 3.5 hr trip, the wind was calm and the water almost like glass. Spent last evening saying goodbye to good friends - it was hard as we have made so many. We have decided to come back to Jekyll next fall, as we can't spend the winter on the boat in the Chesapeake. We will bring the trailer back this summer and spend the winter in Georgia!!  So........we didn't say "goodbye", only "see ya later"! A couple who who we met at Jekyll, and who are also doing The Loop, are anchored here tonight as well. We are well protected here from weather so it will be a good night. The tide is high here - 8 ft!! Took a nap after we got in as it was a short night - too excited!!  Tomorrow is a long day (for us) - close to seven hours. We'd need to leave early in the am to catch a rising tide as we go thru Mud River which is one of the shallowest areas on the ICW. NEED PLENTY OF WATER!! Things are going very well!! Blogspot has changed up their site so need to refigure how to send pix - stay tuned!!  Over and out.......
